The European Commission is consulting on a new version of the de minimis Regulation on state aid. It is proposed that the basic de minimis threshold of €200,000 for any one undertaking is to remain. As well as attempting to clarify and simplify the rules, a significant change is that Member States will be required to set up their own registers of de minimis aid which should be fully active from January 2016.
